African Golden Teak is very uniform colored dense hardwood which offers a lot of “ribbon striped” figure when quarter sawn. The wood weighs about 690kg /m³ when seasoned and dries slowly but well with little degradation. There is exceptionally small movement in service. It is very durable, resistant to both fungi and termites and extremely resistant to preservative treatment. African Golden Teak is one of the most uniform in color range woods. African Golden Teak is a golden tan teak color when freshly milled.
